Speaking of emojis and cute obsessed Japanese, is there an element of K pop in this app? I love the Koreans.
Poor Baron. He's home going, "Why didn't think of that"? Those MF's don't have s---t compared to my site!
Look I know this sounds condescending, but I'll say it anyway for those of you under 30. Once you've seen a few market cycles of bull and bear, it all starts to be very predictable. You just see things that don't make any sense get pumped up to absurd levels, then the depression that follows. It happens over and over, and probably will till the end of time. If you find yourself saying, "Maybe those guys know something I don't know", please be patient. Invest in something you understand. It should be like you have to explain in one sentence to your mother how this idea works. My trading got way better when I had a girlfriend to whom i had to explain my trades.
Sure but even kids know that. It all is about timing. Stating the fact that the market consists of bull and bear cycles means next to nothing. So are you calling the top here?
I think both are equally absurd and that both have no legs whatsoever. Never mistake a one-hit wonder for a sustainable business. Angry Birds was all the rage 5 years ago. Now nobody cares about it at all. That's because its not a real business. It's a lottery ticket that actually hit. It was good for them in the short term but it's not something that's investment worthy. If you want to put your money into a company that sells sticker packs to teenage girls with mobile phones, be my guest. Just ask yourself how often that sales like that can realistically happen on a recurring basis to create a real business over time. I think we all know the answer.
No. Usually excess goes on for awhile. That's part of the point, that I'm glad to see some signs of excess. Its like a signpost along the road. Helps to know where you are. A bull market without signs of excess isn't a bull market, in my opinion. It's easy to look back at the last bull and see that you had mortgages being written to people who couldn't afford them. Just one example. What is the sign of excess now?Much harder to see in real time.
Some of my best trades have been leaning hard on a utility stock I follow using call options and owning the stock.
According to UBS, their clients are holding very very high amounts of cash, even though they feel the economy is basically healthy.
