limiting thread

    is it possible for the person who starts a thread to limit the number of responses?

    Yeah...just ask the moderators to close the thread when your thread has reached whatever you consider to be your limit of replies to your thread.

    I've seen many members have their threads closed when the thread author thinks the thread has run its course or they think the thread has gone too far off course from the theme of the thread.

  3. There should be some kind of button for the original poster to close his/her thread when they wish to.
    Like a purple or maroon or orange or red round button that says Abort/Close.

    the thread does not belong to the poster.. he just can stop reading it...

    if people continue to discuss something in the thread ,even well beyond the thread original post, so what?

    why is it always somebody whats to have a chance to muzzle the others.. beats me
