it's the same for individual and corporate accounts, u can indeed wire money to any bank and country (bar some countries with special restrictions) but beneficiary must have the same name as the IB account's holder (corporate or individual). Just21 is right btw, you can use individual account for the data and corporate corporate for the trades. I don't think it works great though for scalpers as when an account is not subsbribed to live data the execution is delayed by a security pop up, it's even disturbing for non scalpers btw, when prices move fast.

My experiences with IB are similar to Quiet1's btw, corporate accounts are automatically considered professional

  2. i wasn't aware of the increased exchange fees for a pro account, so i initially set one of those up.
Trying to decide if opening an individual account will work with wire transfers to a business bank account.

if the business bank account's name is the same as your personal name it's fine, but you have no choice regarding the beneficiary name when wiring money out of IB account, the system will adress it automatically to the IB account holder's name ( John Doe individual IB account money wired out to John Doe business bank account works ime, but not sure it will reach the John Doe Ltd account, this would depend on how picky is your bank, funding John Doe individual account from John Doe ltd bank account might be a problem as well, I have no experience in that case)
