Lightweight LCD display device as second monitor

  3. I don't believe this would work. The LCD screen will be connected through some kind of ribbon cables. You need to have some gadget which can interpret the DVI video signals and translate them into the scan code or something for the LCD screen. Besides, you need to have a power source to drive the LCD screen as well. A LCD screen is not the same as a whole LCD monitor. Just one component of it.

  7. Thanks! Looked nice! I am hoping for some higher resolutions (1920 x 1080). They will probably eventually come out.

    Yea, those two portable USB lcd's are viable options but if they had high res, I'd buy one today.

  9. I take a hdmi cable with me when i travel plug laptop into hotel flat screen and use that as second monitor ..... dead easy
