LightSpeed on a Mac

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by Chris Paciello, Feb 6, 2009.

  1. I was just wondering if anyone has used Lightspeed on a Mac and was wondering on the performance with it? Did you use Boot Camp to partition the HD?

I am looking into getting a Mac Book Pro - But didn't want any lag or anything if I did it this way?

    Thank you in advance!

  2. 2 things...

First this is the trading section.. your post would better fit in another section of the forums.

Second, boot camp will run trading software just fine. As long as you boot with windows in bootcamp, and not try to use parallels or any of the other vm ware. The actual bootcamp is the most stable and native. I use a mac book pro to run my platform and charting when on the road. No problems so far.

  3. Thank you, Chaos.

Sorry about not putting this thread in the right category.

Are there any certain specs on the Mac Book Pro that will be needed to run eSignal and Lightspeed the fastest?

    Thank you!

  4. If its the Mac Book (Pro), it already has the hardware specs to run both of these platforms with great performance.

A lot more will depend on how you tweak your XP/Vista settings when in Bootcamp mode.

    Good luck
