Yeah being a retail trader can be a tough gig but it depends on your personality I guess. I know a guy who has worked "from home" for over a decade now and seems to have a lot going on, but he has an extrovert personality so that probably makes it easier. Then again he lives in a major metro area where there's a lot more happening, not sure how he'd do if he lived in the suburbs. I know another guy who after losing his job has moved back in with his parents in the suburbs and he hates it, says there's nothing to do and he's bored out of his mind. He's driving the 2 hrs into the city every weekend it seems. But like I said it depends on what kind of person you are. Remember the scene from 'Office Space' where the guy who hates his job is trying to figure out what to do with his life. Someone tells him to ask himself what would you do if you had enough money to not have to work, what would you do then? And he says "That's the problem, if I had that much money I wouldn't do anything, I'd hang out at home, drink beer, and play videogames." At the end of the day I think most people are more or less like that and if you're one of those then that's what you'll end up doing if you become a trader.
I trade on the trading floor in Chicago.. the lifestyle of the floor traders is why I wanted to trade... These guys are nuts but normal is a weird way.
i'm in suburbs. daytrade for 10+ years. no problem. if you have some time to kill-exercise OR work on new trading systems. that's the beauty of this 'hobby'-business. you can expand your business as far as YOU want it to be.
even though its not pushing yourself, honestly, i actually like this activity for clearing your head. its kind of meditative. plus keeps you from getting fat.
i also like jogging, but riding on the bicycle to the liquor store and back(about 10-12 miles) is my favorite exersise
Actually I do jog previously, but sometime too intense jogging some how makes me get flu/sick easier, I did not know it till someone told me if u push yor body too far, its not going to benefit, so i switch to yoga/qigong (Chinese form of healing slow movement + breathing exercise), seems to makes me stronger in terms of not getting flu anymore. And also My age is in the 40s , so it's time to heal/maintain the body rather than trying intensive exercise which is for 20s, 30s adults
off course. everything is good in moderation. i'm talking about 2-5 miles couple times a week, not some marathon shit.. ---Actually I do jog previously, but sometime too intense jogging some how makes me get flu/sick easier, ----- can be true,if you stress your immune system by whole bunch of various factors-stress,not enough sleep, not proper food\diet,too much exercise etc..
Boring, for lack of a better word, is good. Boring means trouble-free. Boring means relax. Boring means freedom!
