Now don't go trying to use logic and facts on this guy, he's going to revert to all 6th grade mode and start spewing gibberish at you. I really do wonder how the guy manages to make it in the real world.

    Great play on words LOL-LOL
Even North + South US are plenty different; low taxes are common in south-US

"A year of stability in Austria, it was observed, had gone far to prove the proposition that inflation had imposed a deeper, more devastating social change than anything the revolution achieved." Frau Eisenmenger's diary from the book "When Money Dies"

How many times do we have to explain to you that the trainwreck caused by the totalitarian government in Venezuela tells us nothing except that totalitarian governments are a bad idea! You don't see me posting over and over again about Somalia, limited government, no gun laws, and theocracy that it is. This infatuation with Venezuela is just as irrational.

I am guessing you're abusing something, I don't recall saying anything in support of the totalitarian regime in Venezuela...

What was the point of your post? Look at Venezuela, see what happens with (insert favorite political cause you love to hate here)? Or were you just pointing out that Venezuela has high inflation, which I'm pretty sure we're are well aware of on this thread. Perhaps if I was abusing something I'd understand your point better?

Not sure it can get much worse, once you move to barter further inflation isn't really relevant to most.

It can get worse, at one stage in post WWI Germany even bartering had slowed down to a trickle; farmers viewed their produce more valuable than almost anything they can get in return...but yes once you move to a barter the difference becomes incremental...

Not even close to comparable, unless by form of government label only.

The US had a "socialist" president for 8 years, albeit in a light form, and our country did not disintegrate into a complete shitshow. While Sanders is more leftist than Obama, even if he ran the country into the ground for 8 years, it would not even remotely come close to what we are seeing in Venezuela.

What is happening in Venezuela is state-led BUFFONERY.
