Mark Sisson (born July 1953) is an American fitness author, food blogger, and a former distance runner, triathlete and Ironman competitor. He is gonna be 69 this year.

    Primal Kitchen:

In 2015, Sisson and Morgan Buehler co-founded Primal Kitchen, "...an authentic, premium and growing brand that ... offers health-conscious consumers the best possible choices in Condiments, Sauces, Dressings and Healthy Snacks." In 2018, Kraft Heinz announced a definitive agreement to acquire Primal Kitchen for approximately $200 million.

  5. The guy looks to be in good shape for his age, but I think his diet is too restrictive. Where are the legumes, nuts and fruit? Where be them carbs?! He is no leaner than I am, and I like my carbs. Also, he may get upwards of 100 grams of protein in a day, but can his body process that much protein in only two sittings? Not everyone thinks so:

And, finally, he starts his day with French press coffee. I'll be the first guy to say a French press makes a good cup, but it might not be the healthiest choice:

    That is one BS research:

"and death was linked to drinking large amounts of unfiltered coffee—more than nine cups per day."

First, who the hell drinks 9 cups per day? Second, I think this was because of the amount, not the filtered/unfiltered nature of the coffee.

Easy solution: drink "only" 8 cups of unfiltered coffee per day. :)

  7. The point is that filtered coffee is healthier, and Sisson is reportedly all about health, right? He's the one taking it to the extreme, so why be lax at the very start of the day?

In any event, he's the paleo guy, and paleo is half-baked:

As I said, he's no leaner than I am, and I am nowhere near paleo. Meanwhile, he's either entirely foregoing or substantially limiting nutrient- and fiber-rich food groups.

Maybe age should be thrown into the equation. He is 69, you are not even close to that. And one unfiltered coffee won't kill him. Look at it as his vice.

  10. Pretty good form, and he uses the correct grip. However, I prefer to do them a bit slower, and hold for a beat at the top.
