Lieberman tries to stop Lamont Supporters from seeing Clinton

  1. Wow, a beautiful woman ejected from a Bill Clinton speech. Either Clinton has completely lost his mind or his handlers are making sure he doesn't get too distracted while walking this tight Lieberman rope :)

Hillary is sending a not so subtle message through Bill as to her continued stance on pro-active American involvement in not just Iraq but throughout the Middle East. Being a credible hawk is her most difficult challenge. She's making the grade......

  3. The popularity of Bill Clinton has far, far less to do with his policies and achievements--NAFTA and repealing federal Aid to Families with Dependent Children come to mind--than with the unpopularity of his opponents, e.g. Newt Gingrich, Bob Dole, and Kenneth Starr.

That Clinton would support Lieberman should surprise no one. Both were prominent in the Democratic Leadership Council, known to real Democrats and the Democratic Leisure Class.

This is a particularly egregious incident, but get real, folks: Clinton and Lieberman are cutthroat politicians who want to win and hate losing. If it means adopting Bush-Rove tactics at their rallies, they'll do it.

Want an alternative? Support a political party that can make a difference, i.e. the U.S. Labor Party, and quit looking for charismatic but superficial "leaders" to save us.
