    Long story made shorter....

I supervised in the backoffice and the 7 and 63 were required. I now moved over to the Actuarial Dept, were Licenses are not required, yet I would like to sit for the 55.

My thinking is that there may be a void that I may want to later fill....also, I am trying to set myself for another change....but not sure which direction just yet...

My HR Dept is questioning why I want to take the 55 and giving me a hard time. Does one have to be sponsored for the 55 too ?

    Thanks in advance

55 is required for working on a trading desk. Great work if you can get it!

Why not go for 24, 53, or 4 and become a principal of something.

Personally, Id say series 4. Less than 5% (approximate) of all license holders are Series 4. If you think the options arena is a growing category it could be a big selling point as more firms expand into options.

    Whatever works for you.
