Nope http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2010/04/29/20100429arizona-birther-bill-stalls.html Arizona 'birther bill' won't get Senate vote A bill to require presidential candidates to show their birth certificates to get on the state's ballot has been set aside at the Arizona Legislature. With lawmakers working toward adjournment of their annual session, the sponsor of the bill used to resurrect the proposal said Thursday it wouldn't get a Senate vote because some fellow Republicans don't support it. The bill is an outgrowth from some Obama critics' doubts over whether he was born in the United States. Hawaii officials have repeatedly confirmed Obama's citizenship, and his Hawaiian birth certificate has been made public, along with newspaper birth notices. The House narrowly approved the measure last week, sending it to the Senate. The bill won't be heard by the Senate, said Sen. Jack Harper, a Republican who agreed to have a bill he sponsored on another presidential ballot matter also carry the birth-certificate provision. Democrats are united against the bill, and Harper said four or five majority Senate Republicans also have indicated they are not willing to vote it. "It is short on votes in the Senate and not coming to the floor," Harper said. He said he personally believes Obama has demonstrated he was born in the United States, but he said he supports the birth-certificate requirement as a states' rights issue. "It's our ballot." Senate President Bob Burns, R-Peoria, said he hadn't made a decision on whether to keep the bill from being considered, but he acknowledged telling a supporter of the bill that he questioned whether the Legislature needed "the controversy it would create."
Oklahoma Oklahoma Republican state Representative Mike Ritze proposed a bill in December 2008, requiring any candidate for public office in Oklahoma to show proof of citizenship. Ritze declared that he "does not believe Obama submitted an authentic copy of his birth certificate".He also unsuccessfully approached Oklahoma Republican Senators Tom Coburn and James Inhofe to persuade them to mount a challenge to Obama's confirmation by Congress. The bill, House Bill 1329, was criticized by The Norman Transcript newspaper as "an outright attempt to embarrass President Barack Obama whose own citizenship was questioned, mostly by those pajama guerrillas trolling on the Internet". The bill gained a 23â20 vote in favor, but failed to meet the 25-vote threshold required to pass. ---- Missouri Fifteen Republican members of the Missouri House of Representatives sponsored an amendment to the Missouri Constitution in March 2009 that would require "candidates who are required by the Constitution of the United States to be natural born citizens" to provide a birth certificate to the Missouri Secretary of State to confirm their eligibility. A certificate of live birth would not be accepted. Failure to comply would result in the candidate being deemed ineligible to stand. The only political offices to be affected would be the President and Vice President, which are the only two positions for which there is a specific constitutional citizenship requirement. The proposed amendment is part of a "voterâs bill of rights", which would serve "as a defense against corruption, fraud, and tyranny". Political commentators interpreted the proposal as being "aimed at advancing the claims of the fringe movement that doubts President Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as president". The proposed amendment, House Joint Resolution No. 34, was subsequently withdrawn
I doubt leaving Odumbo off of the ballot will impact his electoral votes much... after all, will only occur in red states he wasn't likely to win anyway. However, the news and stink over the issue might slap a little sense into his cult sheep.
The legislature in some states is now more republican... I predict it will pass in some states. Democrats in those states will want Obama on the ballot so that other dems can be supported. My prediction is that Obama will have to sue. But, he may just drop out and let hillary be the nominee. If he does sue, both sides will have a shot a sending a subpoena to HI to photocopy their original... Now, if Obama teams file a motion to have a gag order on that info... we will be having lots of fun. We will have obamaloons trying to say we have no reason to know.
That's right. In the "new America... soon to be New World Order"... you don't question what the tyrannical government says or does... you just accept and smile... as you BEND OVER AND TAKE IT UP THE ASS... personal liberties-wise.
1. Just to piss off birthers. 2. A birther will be a birther and claim that it was photoshopped. 3. He will do it on his last day in office.
