  2. You done foaming at the mouth yet?

All these things you say that the media should be doing - questioning Bush about his 'lying', etc. That all comes from your radical left wing viewpoint. Therefore it is your OPINION that the press supports so called 'neocon' views.

You know you're right, your name calling of those that disagree with your view obviously shows your intelligence. For only an illiterate would discuss their issues in a civilized manner. Funny how left wingers will accuse conservatives of being intolerant of others' view, etc. And yet when one reads your post above, you sound like the intolerant one. Again, I disagree with your view - not the issue here....

Ok, just so that you calm down a little.... if you want to reread a few of my posts, I agree that yes, media is capitalistic. And yes, they will endorse conservative persons. But again, I really can't think of a major newspaper OR tv show being pro lfe, pro gun ownership, pro labor union, etc. It's all about the ISSUES - for individuals will come and go, but the issues must be protected by the liberal media.....

You need to separate the two.

I wish the media wasn't so right wing. I've only seen hours of coverage on Cheney's hunting accident. For some reason, they keep insisting on implicating the friendly chap running Iran and accusing him of terrible things, like building nukes. Can't they see that nuclear energy is the logical strategy for a country with the world's second largest oil reserve?

  4. So most on here are saying that the ruling conservatives who control the the government, the world's best military, who spend billions on PR each year, who control big oil and big pharma, are somehow letting themselves be held hostage by a "slanted liberal left wing biased PC socialist agenda"?

As if! Big $$ rules the world and your country. Get over it already
CNN's job is to sell ads and airtime. The first thing any group who wants to seize power does is take over the Press.

I can see the headline now: "The world's most powerful nation, military, oil barrons held hostage by leftist liberals; unable to shake grasp for many years". Full story at 6pm

  5. You hit the nail right on the head, so to speak. But these FUCKING illiterate neo-commie scum NEED something to whine about. These Fucking brain-dead maggots have been told numerous times that the "media is liberal", therefore these illiterate fucking maggots now repeat this mantra as some kind of fact .

For those who are able to think, this is a simple neutralizing strategy used by those in power to negate their mis-deeds. It is a simple strategy where the integrity of the messenger is assaulted. If the messenger can be appropriately discredited, then the relevance of the message itself, however relevant, is negated.

  6. “It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion.”

"Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play."

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

    Abortion.

    Same-Sex marriage.

    Iraq.

Education reform. (i.e. vouchers vs. raises for tenured union teachers)

    Tax Cuts.

    Islam.

    Social Security reform.

    Illegal immigration.

    Crime perpetuated by minorities.

    Racial and gender quotas.

Can anyone honestly claim that the conservative voice, on any of these issues, is given the same weight as views from the left?

Forget Fox. A whole 1.5% of the population sees a FoxNews program each night. On the "big three" network news, in the NYT, Washington Post, increasingly in Tribune Co. newspapers (Chicago Trib, NY Daily News, LA Times, SoFla Sun-Sentinel) leftist opinion is elevated to the status of prevailing, reasoned policy.

King Cobra is right. Some day, perhaps in the near future, Islam will kick the West's ass. The Islamo-facists are dedicated to one mission. Europe and the U.S. are weak. We're a society fixated upon the jealousy of our neighbors paychecks, how to fuck each other in the ass (literally and figuratively), and how to best lead the empty life of the yuppie bourgeois. The press are whores. They print/broadcast what sells. The best selling they do is the selling out of American values. Without fairness and justice, criticism becomes anarchy.

  8. I see you are into the blame game tonight, assuming I take it of course that you are the one lone real American who is not part of the problem.

    Question:

Didn't you say you were leaving ET if Cobra wasn't banned?

You project yourself as a stand up guy, why didn't you stand up and leave?

I am not the subject of this thread. I resent your personal attacks and gross violation of ET's policy. Please keep this thread on topic or I'll be forced to report your conduct to Resinate.
