He is the leader of the central Florida Islamic Asociation. He made a statement as part of the press briefing that was fairly decent.

  4. Spokesholes always make decent statements, it's what they do. They could be saying "we're going to kill all of you" but they would say it decently...

  6. Reports have it that the shooter said he had the cure for AIDS and anybody that wanted it should line up to one side... oh wait, I got fired from a job for telling that joke once [but it was worth it]

  7. Yep, with a stroke of the pen we can ban all those nasty guns. It'll be a real feel good moment, and will work about as well as the "just say no" program did to fight the war on drugs.

  8. Like I said, they will find a way to classify it as workplace violence given enough time. The incident where the Muzzie shot all the servicemen on a base where guns were not allowed is still classified as workplace violence. What do they get out of all this psychological denial? They kept denying terror attacks were for real in the '90's, made up crazy stories about turbulence and sparks in the gas tanks until finally the Twin Towers went down: Muzzie way of saying "deny that one bitchez!!"

Actually, we could ban their manufacture, import, and offer a buyback. In time, the supply would shrink, and what remains would be carefully secured by the owner.

You yourself admitted that a shotgun was better for home defense than an AR-15 (and I agreed). So if we don't allow people to have nukes, because they're not necessary for home defense, and because what would happen if a mentally ill person got one, why do we allow people to have AR-15s?

  10. Because banning the manufacture doesn't mean they won't be manufactured elsewhere, and in a big way. Should an AR-15 be more difficult to purchase than a shotgun? IMO, yes, it should be a much more lengthy and laborious process. However, that does not do much to thwart the real threat, which is this case was Radical Islam. We might stop the Adam Lanaza types, which is no small thing, but gang violence and Islamic terrorism are a whole different breed of animals. The left loves to conflate the two, but fighting against gangs/terrorists is very different battle than the mentally disturbed types. Terrorists and gangs will find their weapons regardless of any laws we pass.
