%% Polar bear trends \looking good\took some SQQQ profits; still in sds/SPXU...................................................may get in TZA + sdow if i have time later
I believe I've found a way to hold TQQQ long term. Your strategy has to give buy signals as price goes down and sell signals as price increases. Add a downside hedge and you have a pretty comprehensive strategy. Time will tell.
%% THAT may work well this year, maybe not in FEB @ all................................. NOT a prediction+ not insured by any federal agency\thank God
I checked out SOXL and its Feb 2020 high was 22.07 and the March 2020 low was 3.57. Man that is an 83.8% drop in a month and I thought Cryptos were volatile. I will keep SOXL in mind as a dollar cost accumulation in a stock bear market (if stock bear markets are not extinct) but as a long term position better have a finger on the sell button after that 15x run.
Indeed it has been one hell of a run. Hopefully when the time comes I don't make a mistake. Pic doesn't reflect the entire 15x cuz the rest of the initial buy is in another account and I've moved shares out occasionally too
There is no rhyme or reason to it except an overriding huge negative bias at all times. Plus if you throw out dozens of calls you can promote how "right" you were when one of them hits.
Would be interesting to see how that PnL page looked at end of yesterday's massive run-up, and compare the two.
It was a little nicer at the peak yesterday, I wanna say somewhere around $1,094,700 or so but pic is how it stands right now. I can't complain.
That's cool. So you spent 100 grand to protect the 900 grand profit. Netting 800 grand if you closed it all out right now. Wish I was mentally agile enough to do that sort of thing.
