sicktrader, you mention you come from a professional gambling background. My question is what was you preferred method of gambling before trading?
Sports betting, live sports betting in particular. World Sports Exchange is where I played most, their interactive sports betting is no different than the ES. In fact, I think the ES is easier. Things can be manipulated in the unregulated gambling industry.
Problem is that is not possible if I am banned (Mrs. Magna) to the couch and wife is in the bedroom. Mr. Johnson can't stretch that long. Maybe I'll sneak out. I'll try my best. Later.
Sick I don't understand why everyone is asking for proof. The proof is you made 4 or 5 trades in advance with profit and stop loss rules. I see a ton of people with less than 10 posts asking for proof. Great calls btw. You have done more than anyone else that posted in this journal. Enjoy the weekend
this thread WAS civil for about the first 7 or 8 pages.. the taunting started after that all hell broke loose by page 10
Sicktrader, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but the masses demand a blotter... You mentioned earlier that it only took you 30 days to develop a profitable system. Frankly I find this claim unbelievable, since all the great traders I know (or have even heard about) took many years, 2-5 or more, to become consistently profitable. Finding an edge in 30 days would be like running a three-minute mile... could you elaborate a bit more on how you developed your system? MM by itself is not an edge but a means of avoiding risk of ruin, hitting 1.5RR half the time is where the edge lies.
No No No. I had a similar system, and money management structure that I was using with live betting. Had been doing it for many years. Never watched the games, just the price movement of the contracts. When I moved to the ES, I wanted to find a system that fit the price movement and percentages that I was used to. I found a few pretty quick. You may not get this, but if you think of it as gambling, a 50% shot, then there are many systems out there. I have never read sites like these (and still don't except for this journal), just don't listen to what other people tell you, it is all wrong.
