Almost every claim from trump on tariffs and trade has been proven false or a mistatement of facts. When a president says foreign countries pay the tariffs and the mouthpiece for the adminsitration says tariffs are a tax break for American workers..... then everything they say is bullshit and shows how bad the american education system is.

It's an electoral mistake to associate Trump and MAGA with the Republican Party. Yes, he used the party to get elected, but that's because Hillary Clinton refused to give up her spot on the Democratic party for him. Had a Republican been running the country instead of Obama, Trump would have run MAGA as a Democrat and probably also won. For example, it's a Democrat stance that drugs are victimizing Americans, while Republicans have always stood by individual responsibility. Another, the Republican party is more often associated with the military establishment and willingness to send men to war, while Dems is the peace party reluctantly sending men to war. Trump is again following a Dems platform of being a no war president reluctantly having to fight in Yemen. During the election, Trump went out of his way to support MAGA Republicans over traditional ones, won more support in the process and asserted MAGA dominance.
