Why in the world would they send a big-name firm down the tubes to protect one person (Fuld)? In such a performance-orientated industry?
If Fuld doesn't complete this second try with Korea Development Bank by this weekend, the internal dissenters should request that he leave. Doesn't make sense to sink the whole ship, just to protect one man.
Too late. Now we have to ask why BAC management has paid so much for Merrill. Two weeks from now this will be seen as a bad deal.
BAC is dumping all bad assets to uncle sam and keeping the good from every deal they get involved in.
