Not sure where is best to ask this question so I'll just chose here. My question is, I know with data providers such as opentick and anywhere else you can get historical data you are NOT allowed to redistribute that data. However, my question is can you redistribute "processed" information based on it? Such as the ACTUAL quotes are never shown, but the data is used in processing which and those results are shown to the public... Not exactly what I have in mind, but what if you took a moving average of the data? Can that be redistributed? CCI values? What if you backtested a strategy and reproduced details of the backtest? Bottom line is, any or all of that legal as long as your not redistributing each quote??
