I am a newbie starting to learn about trading the ZB.
I am starting to use a simulator now and plan to go live in early January.

I plan to start with only 1 contract and as I am keeping my day job,I am only going to be trading the opening 2 hours.

    I have a 12 tick/week goal. Is this realistic?

What indicators have you found most useful?

What if any other markets do you follow to trade this.

I am reading up on market profile, which seems very interesting,

I would appreciate any insights you care to share..

Thanks to DBLARROW and Fuf for your previous help!

    Peace

  3. Btw thanks for making my job easier. I had same questions
in mind. Trading stocks now only, intend moving to futures
    soon.

  4. if you like liquidity you might want to trade the ZN contract instead of ZB.

  5. Yes. ZN does more volume and the ticks are half the ZB.

    Siwash,

Good to see that you are going to give it a try.

The ZN is much more liquid as pointed out, about 2 1/2 to 3 times the volume, that being said, fills are no problem in the bonds, yet.

Due to the nature of bonds and notes I would give serious thoughts to trading at least two contracts, one for pulling off after a bit of profit and one to chase with a trailing stop. I have found that to be much more profitable in the long run.

I wouldn't get to concerned with the particular indicator itself, just learn it and how it reacts to the market.

I only use the stochastics and ma's, I know a few other that use just the cci, again, pick one and learn how it moves to the market.

    Wishing you the best.

    Make 'em pretty, Chris

  8. DblArrow,

How would you compare the ZB / ZN group to the ES / NQ for trading?

    Thank you for commenting,

    nononsense

  9. TS can't seem to find ZB in a futures symbol lookup. Can I ask what symbol this is in TS?

What's the margin/value for one ZB contract?

    Thanks
