Learning from our mistakes

    My plan of not holding on to my losers worked like a damn. Worked again during the pandemic.

    A recurring theme among top traders

    More aggressive when winning and scaling back when losing.

    I have a hard time learning from my mistakes. Looks like I can blow up accounts almost every day based on the same set of problems.

    Learning has to be part of the plan. We should try our best to deliberately improve upon them through honest, careful and objective reviews.

    Has to be part of the routine to monitor our trades and look for issues to improve our trading plan.

    The direct consequence of a mistake should be a modification of our operating system.

    For too long I’ve been this programmer that tumbles upon a bug into his code but never really bothered to make a change to stop the program from crashing.
