If you are thinking of all those lines, those are only opening range, yestorday high/low, pivot points, globex high low - basically HUP's, that I like to know where are.

And then there is VWAP with standard deviation bands around, which I am currently testing a strategy with.

    And allso volume POC.

The bottom is bid/ask volume, and volume delta comulative of trading day.

  5. Trades on NQ for the day.

Conservative trade selection, 2 winners, neither of substantial size. :(

Also let many good trade go past. Particularly after 3EST.

  6. I like how your charting software points out the higher highs/lower lows, etc

what charting software is that, and what do they refer to that feature as?

I'm wondering if mine can do it as well- there's about 10,000 indicators in there, and I'm only familiar with a few of them

  7. I'm using Multicharts....which IMO is kind of a mixed bag. i don't know if others have problems with it, but it's a pain in my ass.

The study you are seeing is just a high/low indicator. It tries to plot higher highs and lower lows.....etc.

It does ok most of the time, but like anything mechanical, it misses some, and overplots some. And depending on settings, will usually define the smaller trend. So if you're looking at the bigger picture, it ignores it.

I guess the good thing about Multicharts though is that it does accept Easy Language, so most studies out there created for the extremely popular tradestation will port over to Multicharts.

This study is called "HH/LL." So look in your indicators for that. Also, look for anything in your software that says something to the effect of:

    Pivot High
    Pivot Low
    Swing High
    Swing Low

Something like that, might at the very least get you some dots that will plot swing points so you can rest your eyes a bit.

What package are you using for charting?

  8. I use QuoteTracker- so far I havent seen anything that does that- but I'm not sure if the studies you are referring to are during live market hours.

Thanks for the tip- i will look for those things you mentioned and see if I can get something similiar going ;)
