Probably me thinking the trend was over? Take a loook the first two trades. I probably could have treated the ifrst one like an intraday swing trade, instead of a small scalp with the trend. I didn't even sit through one small retracement. Let's say I sat through one retracement on the first trade of the day? Here's an example of what I mean:
I looked at your last picture. There are many ways to draw trendlines. Here are some of them. Connecting extreme points Connecting consolidation points Connecting highs to lows. Extending beyond the first break to see old trendlines effect ie Support becoming Resistance Maybe I should start a thread on the many ways to draw trendlines I find that connecting consolidation points works best for me. So if a spike goes thru a trendline, it doesn't count as a break if it just spikes back down....
Today is the best day I've had in trading the minis in my short trading career. Period! I'm sure some of you out there laugh at this type of performance as this is automatic for some people. But I'm shocked to have this day. Controlled myself from continuing to trade after having success early. Patient with the setups. Didn't chase anything. With all that, obviously there was soooo much left on the table. This is something I'm sure only screen time will fix? I switched back to the ES today. The fib levels are looking like something that will be a mainstay in my trading. Forrest
Ok day. I'm seeing what's not so obvious, in combination with my anchor chart(20K), the multiple trends that exist within a bigger trend. You'll notice this on my chart as I have a ton of TLs drawn that reflect this. Warning: It's messy!! Started watching T&S today, nothing is jumping out at me from there yet? Also today, i mixed my usualy chart pattern recognition, trend follow mode to a scalping method which sometimes will have similiar entries. Some of the entries and targets were me not being focused.
i don't knw what's going on, ignore these last few posts I will have one up at the end of the day. Something weird is hapening with my pcitures.
Not a great day today. A lot of the trades are not where I want them to be. Really, today was somewhat choppy and low volume. The nice volitility just didn't seem to be there to me. A few of the trades today were good trades. Some where just not the type of trade I want to take. P3-P5 where the trades I typically feel good about win or loose. P3 had potential, didn't let it run too good, based on big picture. P4 and P5 were good. Somewhat sloppy in the evening trading. Forrest
Trades that work out best for me are those that are taken within the context of the big picture. If I could somehow take only these trades, I'd probably be a lot happier. But here is one taken earlier. Ignore the first short, but see the good long. Anchor lines up nicely with entry on entry chart. TrendChannel established on anchor held very well, and price was contained nicely within. Forrest
