LCD Monitor Question

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by listedguru, Feb 7, 2007.

  1. I currently have (2) 19" lcd monitors (both 4:3). I am looking at adding another lcd to my set-up. Should I get another 19" (4:3) or a widescreen (either 19" or 20" with resolution of 1680 x 1050. Most likely going to use the new monitor for charting...

    Thoughts?

  2. IMO, don't get a widescreen! I did and my fonts were smaller on the wide screen then the 19"s. Very annoying I took it back and am looking for another 19"

if you are going to put them side by side, don't just go for the same diagonal size, make sure they have the same vertical height.

    A widescreen 22" has the same vertical height as a 5:4 19".

  5. IMO Small fonts are better. Widescreen is better. Widescreen is the future. Small fonts are better for the eyes. Large fonts make lazy traders and lazy eyes. People need to learn to adjust with time.
Get a widescreen and stay modern. Get a 24 inch widescreen.

when you are using multiple screens, it matters less if you are using wide-aspect ratio or regular screen. You have enough real estate for all the information to go around.

  7. You don't make sense. Smaller means more eye strain.
