Lawyer sentenced to record 12 years for $37 million insider trading scheme

  2. Pretty harsh sentence. The ironic thing is that this lawyer didn't understand how valuable the info was - he didn't get more than a small fraction of the profits. He didn't think big enough, which is often the case with lawyers, who make big salaries but only compared with other hourly workers.

    Btw, he is a good poster adult for the case against gay marriage. He has three kids by his male partner via surrogate - and then left his partner for a younger man.
