Indeed. I've lived through at least a half dozen of these "cataclysmic" fiscal events. In each case, the sun rose the next day, life continued on, and within months, if not weeks, the "cataclysmic" had morphed into the "already forgotten". So, yes, it's a Yawn Level Event, just another paragraph in a long essay titled "More of the Same". Cheers.

Redistribution of wealth in tough economic times isn't such a bad thing because not doing that would make things worse but unfortunately, when things improve -- they eventually will -- redistribution will remain intact. There's always going to be a percentage of the population who will have their hands out for what the government is offering.
