Once again -- let's provide the facts about the vaccinations in Uruguay -- instead of the misinformation being spread from twisted anti-vaxxers. Vaccinations are merely halted until officials present documents relating to contracts signed with vaccine manufacturers. This situation only demonstrates that Uruguay has anti-vax idiots and judges who are fools as well. Uruguay suspends COVID vaccination for children under 13 https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...b0b818-fe41-11ec-b39d-71309168014b_story.html MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay — Uruguay stopped administering coronavirus vaccine to children under age 13 after a judge ordered on Thursday that all inoculations in that age group halt until officials present documents relating to contracts signed with vaccine manufacturers. Judge Alejandro Recarey issued the injunction under a petition filed by a lawyer who represents a group of anti-vaccine activists. The vaccinations in children under 13 had been on a voluntary basis, and the government said it will appeal the decision. Alvaro Delgado, the secretary of the presidency, characterized the halt as a threat to public health. “We’re convinced that it’s crazy to suspend voluntary vaccination because it has a strong scientific backing,” Delgado said at a news conference. Vaccinations for those older than 13 will continue, the Health Ministry said in a news release. The lawyer who sought the injunction, Maximiliano Dentone, represents anti-vaccine activists who have demanded that contracts with vaccine manufacturers be made public. The judge ordered the vaccination after receiving on Thursday answers to 18 questions about the safety and chemical composition of the vaccines that was signed by Health Minister Daniel Salinas. Salinas published an open letter after the ruling strongly defending the government’s vaccination plan and criticizing the judge for questioning the safety of vaccines. “Many Uruguayans under 13 have been able to receive the necessary doses, but others have not,” Salinas wrote. Dentone said the government had failed to present the contracts with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer that he had requested. The government has said a confidentiality clause in the contract prevents it from sharing the document. The judge is seeking, among other things, to know whether there are clauses in the contracts that promised civil and criminal immunity due to any adverse effects from the vaccines. Recarey also wants information about the chemical composition of the vaccines. COVID-19 cases have been on the rise in Uruguay in recent weeks along with other respiratory infections that are typical of winter months. As of Thursday, 44% of Uruguayan children between ages 5 and 11 and 75% of those between 12 and 14 have received two doses of coronavirus vaccine, according to Uruguay government data.
Which is essentially what was said in the tweet - so there was no misinformation. Putting someone on ignore and then arguing with them. The new NPC way, I guess.
The clown show continues with you. I was responding to easymon1 who posted the exact same graphic nonsense about Uruguay in the Covid-19 thread -- hence the words "Once again" at the start of the first sentence. Seems like you are desperate for attention.
A practice honed by the honorable wrb, not that it's like hiding behind your mommy's skirts. These are grown ass men, lol. gwb was actually told which names to put on his ignore list. just ask him. Overnight asked him but after that, no comment from the honorable gwb. Plastic tools or credible sources? You decide, lol.
Fortunately the influence of anti-vax conspiracy theorists is waning as people see their unvaccinated neighbors transported to the hospital with severe Covid and in some cases dying. Nothing outlines the reality better than seeing the facts directly in your neighborhood & family. Trust In COVID-19 Vaccine Grows Across The Globe, Study Finds https://knewz.com/covid-vaccine-acceptance/ More people across the globe are becoming accepting of the COVID-19 vaccine, a recent study found. The CUNY Graduate School of Public Health Policy and the Barcelona Institute for Global Health and other groups recently spoke to 23,000 people in 23 countries. They found that 75.2 percent reported vaccine acceptance. That is up from 71.5 percent a year ago. The results were recently published in the journal “Nature Communications.” Researchers noted that concerns about vaccine safety and mistrust in science were the most constant correlation of hesitancy in getting the vaccine. Vaccine hesitancy was most common in Russia, Nigeria and Poland, the research found. Vaccine acceptance was most common in China, the United Kingdom and Canada. “In order to improve global vaccination rates, some countries may at present require people to present proof of vaccination to attend work, school, or indoor activities and events,” CUNY SPH Senior Scholar Jeffrey Lazarus said. “Our results found strong support among participants for requirements targeting international travelers, while support was weakest among participants for requirements for schoolchildren.” The study said that vaccine efforts must continue to target those reporting lower vaccine confidence with evidence-based information and expand access in low- and middle-income countries. “Importantly, however, recommendations by a doctor, or to a lesser extent by an employer, might have an impact on a respondent’s views on vaccination in some countries,” said CUNY SPH Dean Ayman El-Mohandes. According to Centers for Disease Control Data, in the U.S. more than 22 million people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 100 million have gotten at least one booster dose.
When you get a few minutes, you may appreciate this... Watch Harrison Smith parse a liberal loving leftist's case of a typical false dichotomy as frequently seen in ET's "Politics" section headlines. Manufacture a false reality the then argue against that. Badda bing, Badda boom. Harrison Smith minute 1:33 https://www.bitchute.com/video/CXSWsrkPRLAk/
