  1. A group of 75 doctors in South Florida staged a walkout earlier this week to draw attention to the overflowing hospitals in the state.

MSNBC reported that the doctors need people to be aware of the effect that the unvaccinated are having on their hospitals.

People who don't believe in medicine and science are going to hospitals which are houses of medicine and science to be treated by people who studied medicine and science who are fed up with the the people clogging their hospitals...

If you don't want to get vaxxed or mask up then don't go to the hospital when you get sick....your choice and let those who really need the hospital for other procedures get in. Someone vaxxed has a much higher chance to have a less severe dose of COVID just like with the flu shot.

I have never been against using approved, proven, life-saving medications in the battle against Covid. I am against a state government setting up unsterile environments to inject IVs into people for treatment. Especially when there are many non-hospital medical facilities in Florida which meet cleanness requirements stating they can provide monoclonal anti-body treatment.

I question why DeSantis set-up these unsterile treatment centers when the medical community told him he should not be using this -- and he should direct people to appropriate medical facilities for treatment.

  4. Okay. Good to see you holding up.

I just don't want to see any reports that you and DeSantis have gone off on some Royal Caribbean Cruise together.

Israel's Grim COVID Data Suggests Vaccines Alone Won't Stop Pandemic

Scientists around the world have closely watched Israel to see how vaccinations could affect the pandemic, since the country launched a rapid vaccination campaign in December 2020. This saw more than half of its population fully vaccinated as early as March this yea

    Yet Israel currently has
one of the worst rates of biweekly COVID cases per million people in the world as the country battles the delta variant, according to figures collected by OurWorldInData as of August 24.

Breakthrough cases are also a matter of concern. Earlier this month,
Science magazine reported that 514 Israelis were hospitalized with COVID as of August 15, that 59 percent of these had been fully vaccinated, and that the vast majority of these fully vaccinated people were aged 60 or older.

Newsweek was unable to get confirmation from Israel's health ministry regarding current data on how vaccinated people have fared in terms of deaths or the seriousness of their condition compared to unvaccinated people—but the severity of the cases in hospitalized patients brings the purported mildness of breakthrough cases to the fore.

We know the problem with the ignore. It's best to just start their own thread and not make comments within someone else's thread that does not have someone on ignore.

Simply, this thread belongs to gwb-trading...you're not on my ignore list nor am I on your ignore list. Thus, I continue getting alerts to this thread because I subscribe to it...there lies the glitch for some members.

I've complained before in the past a few years ago but I doubt it will ever be fixed.
    • Yet, I've learned the best way to ignore someone is to not post any messages directed to the person being ignored nor participate in any threads that the person is participating within.
In reality, Van likes to post Covid misinformation and does not like it when someone else like you or me that post charts / data that contradicts his misinformation. Just as importantly, he doesn't like it when something he posts (e.g. Thailand) gets ignored...all of that together merits him having a temper tantrum instead of just doing the simple thing...

Start a thread just about Ivermectin to see if it can stand on its own merits...so far it doesn't look like it can and not a thread at a North American forum bashing vaccines when North American's hospitalizations, ICU admissions and Deaths are mainly (> 90%) individuals that are not vaccinated.

P.S. I've been posting in this thread and others long before Van arrived in them. Just as important, we have been posting in @carrer Ivermectin thread for several pages before Van showed up with his Covid misinformation about vaccines.

I've been thinking about that too lately.

People have the right if they do not want to vaccinate nor wear a face mask. Yet, when they become sick from Covid because of that decision...they do not have the right to go to a hospital that's struggling to care for people that are sick or injured from something not related to Covid.

Unfortunately, that can not be enforced but some companies are now requiring their employees that are not vaccinated to pay higher health insurance rates than employees that are vaccinated.

Some of these companies are Fortune 500 companies and I wouldn't be surprised if other Fortune 500 companies follow the same route. Just the same, a few insurance companies are going to do the same as they did in the past with smokers...higher insurance rates for smokers versus non-smokers because it's simple...

Individuals that are not vaccinated and then become hospitalized from a Covid infection are costing companies not just a lot of money but are also putting other employees at risk if they were to infect another employee.

Yeah, last year I've seen Fauci on CNBC mention America's success with antiviral therapeutic drugs long before DeSantis and other politicians looking for something to protect their citizens that becomes infected with Covid.

Regeneron should not be given in a public library but they're in panic mode because they can not get some patients to a hospital and even if they did...many hospitals are at capacity.

Yet, I don't understand why they just don't call in the National Guard and erect some of those outdoor medical tents (aka Military Field Hospitals) staffed with military medical frontline workers. I think that's what New York did last year and it's much better than a damn public library.

About 1.6 million doses of Moderna's coronavirus vaccine have been taken out of use in Japan because of contamination reported in some vials, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said early Thursday.

The ministry said later in the day that the substance that had been mixed in may have been metal. "It's a substance that reacts to magnets," a ministry official said. "It could be metal.
