NVX-CoV2373 was 89.7% (95% confidence interval, 80.2 to 94.6) effective in preventing Covid-19, with no hospitalizations or deaths reported. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.05.13.21256639v1 Persistent hype around mRNA vaccine technology is now distracting us from other ways to end the pandemic. The latest Novavax data confirm that it’s possible to achieve the same efficacy against COVID-19 with a more familiar technology that more people may be inclined to trust. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2021/06/novavax-now-best-covid-19-vaccine/619276/
Baron (ET owner) frowns down upon people spamming the same article in multiple different forum threads. Don't worry, nobody will tell him unless you keep doing it. P.S. You can be sneaky...just change the picture or use a different link to the same article source. wrbtrader
this a repost from Health Section i scanned Politics section and little this month about Novavax -strange don't you think
You know I'm not talking about "others". Instead, I'm talking about the same person posting the exact same article with the exact same message post in multiple different threads. I'll explain it a different way. Pretend you, someone else and I posted the same article in different threads...that's not a problem. Yet, if I (me...not you and not anyone else) posted the info in multiple different threads...its called spamming. As stated, if I wanted to do that...I'll just use different sources. Pretend I posted a link to the article from CNBC. Then in another thread, I post a direct link to the health article. In another thread, I posted a link via Bloomberg Health to the same article. That's a sneaky way around to be able to keep posting the exact same article in multiple different threads without catching their eyes. I use to do it myself and had a moderator delete some of those message posts and then he notified me that I was spamming. I stopped doing it. Today, I still do it but in a sneaky way via different links, different images and/or different authors about the same info. wrbtrader
@wrbtrader now i will have you blocked.lets see if it is a software glitch and you will continue to follow me around ,seems you have difficulty stopping it
I think that they should complete their FDA submission process in the U.S. with appropriate data and seek regulatory approval for their COVID vaccine. First get EUA and then full approval. However you should note that Novavax keeps delaying their submission. The delays with U.S. approval are strictly on them. If they don't even do their initial submittal then there is nothing in the pipeline for the FDA to approve. Novavax again delays seeking U.S. approval for COVID-19 vaccine https://www.reuters.com/business/he...king-us-approval-covid-19-vaccine-2021-08-05/ August 5, 2021 Novavax Inc on Thursday again delayed its timeline for seeking U.S. authorization for its two-dose COVID-19 vaccine but expects to become a major distributor to lower and middle-income countries this year. It had previously said it would seek emergency use authorization (EUA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the third quarter of 2021 but now expects to file in the fourth quarter. Novavax shares dropped around 7% in after-hours trading. "It's a matter of getting validation work done" to demonstrate consistency in the vaccine's manufacturing process to the FDA, said Chief Executive Officer Stanley Erck during an interview with Reuters. He added that other countries' regulators have been more aggressive in moving Novavax's vaccine through the authorization process. The company said it has filed for regulatory authorization for its shot in India, Indonesia and the Philippines. "Initially, our doses may be prioritized to low-income countries, where we'll be able to support critical unmet demand for primary vaccinations," Erck said during Novavax's quarterly investor call. Despite promising clinical data, the Maryland-based company has lagged rival vaccine makers such as Pfizer Inc(PFE.N)and Johnson & Johnson(JNJ.N). It has repeatedly delayed regulatory filings and the timeline for ramping up production as it struggled to access raw materials and equipment needed to produce the vaccine.read more Erck said Novavax remained on track to produce 100 million doses per month in the current quarter and 150 million doses by the fourth quarter. Erck told Reuters the company is on track to submit a regulatory filing in the United Kingdom in September followed within weeks by submissions in Australia and Canada. Separately, Novavax said a single booster shot of its vaccine given six months after an initial two-dose regimen, elicited a 4.6-fold increase in antibodies. According to Erck, the company will file a separate application for booster shots with the FDA once its emergency use authorization submission is processed. "We appear to have got past (certain) supply issues and are now being able to produce at scale," Erck told Reuters. Novavax has already manufactured tens of millions of shots and is not worried about them expiring before they are approved for use because the vaccine material is kept frozen, Erck said during the investor call. The drugmaker said it has expanded its late-stage U.S. trial to include pediatric patients and has enrolled more than 2,000 volunteers between 12 and 17 years old. Both rivals Moderna(MRNA.O)and Pfizer have already initiated trials of their vaccines in children under the age of 12. In May, FDA authorized the vaccine developed by Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech(22UAy.DE)for use in children ages 12 to 15 years while Moderna's application for use of its vaccine in teenagers is under review. Novavax reported a net loss of $352 million, or $4.75 per share, for the second quarter of 2021, far higher than its net loss of $18 million for the same period in 2020. Its second-quarter revenue was $298 million.
Entertainment Alert!!!! Fauci accused of going full DeSantis!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe GWB has covered this already. Don't know but hopefully y'all will check up on him to see if he needs oxygen or something. Breathe into the bag GWB. We are here for you, man. Associated Press ripped after Fauci touts monoclonal antibodies: 'Isn’t this the thing Ron DeSantis promoted? https://www.foxnews.com/media/associated-press-fauci-monoclonal-antibodies-ron-desantis
Fauci has urged the use of monoclonal anti-bodies and other medications proven to be effective much longer than Ron DeSantis has. However can someone tell me why Regeneron which should only be injected at approved medical facilities meeting appropriate cleanness standards is being given out in a Florida library where people are lying on the floor screaming in pain. These are Ron DeSantis' treatment centers.
