    JUNE WAS PROFITABLE !

Finally...I didn't let one trade or one day completely cripple me. No implosion.

Monday I exited my DQ short with just a minor loss, but losses on Monday and Tuesday moved me down from my high of 20.04%.

I'll be pushing to make up that ground and hopefully posting a new high soon.

I exercised a lot of demons this month and I am looking forward with confidence on building on it in July.

    "That's Life"

That's life (that's life), that's what all the people say
You're ridin' high in April, shot down in May
But I know I'm gonna change that tune
When I'm back on top, back on top in June

I said that's life (that's life), and as funny as it may seem
Some people get their kicks stompin' on a dream
But I don't let it, let it get me down
'cause this fine old world, it keeps spinnin' around

    I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king
I've been up and down and over and out and I know one thing
Each time I find myself flat on my face
I pick myself up and get back in the race

    That's life (that's life), I tell you I can't deny it
I thought of quitting, baby, but my heart just ain't gonna buy it
And if I didn't think it was worth one single try
I'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly

    I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poet, a pawn and a king
I've been up and down and over and out and I know one thing
Each time I find myself layin' flat on my face
I just pick myself up and get back in the race

    That's life (that's life), that's life and I can't deny it
Many times I thought of cuttin' out but my heart won't buy it
But if there's nothin' shakin' come this here July
I'm gonna roll myself up in a big ball a-and die

    My, my!

    UPDATE:

After having my first profitable month in:
    June +$3.2K
I followed it up with a bad month in:
    July ($22K)
(Which I had to make another equity deposit).

But then had my 2nd profitable month in:
    August +$9.4K.

September I am trying to use all of my superhuman powers to rise above negativity and mediocracy. My tool belt now consists of: scalps, longer day trades, overnight positions, swing trades, earnings projections and other sharp oBjects.

Here is a snapshot of September:

Started out in a big hole and had to swing my way out. Not the way I like to play it. Stopping for the day. I don't like my psychological state of mind. I didn't sleep well last night and I am not on point. I wanted to be a little looser today with my trading, but today could have turned into a disaster

After closing down yesterday at 9:49 am (I am EST) :

I spent the day looking at the upcoming earnings for some different companies. I identified BRC which has an earnings call today 9/16 at 10:30am
I decided I would purchase just prior to the market closing 560 shares.
I picked them up at 46.08 at about 3:55pm
After hours the price spiked and at 7:55pm I decided to get out and I sold them at 48.50 and added an additional $1,355.20 to the P&L for yesterday.

Closing in on my most disciplined month ever.

I scrapped everything that I wanted to do for the past 2 decades to work on what actually works.

up 18% so far this year as of this post

It really is as simple as the most basic rules that we all have read.

    And the Saga continues...

    For the love of trading.

I look forward to opening up the trading platform, almost from the time I log off.
I don't know what it is. I'm not addicted, but it is like a huge shot of adrenaline.
So, controlling that thrill to trade and have discipline to stop at the right time for me is a challenge.

    1 Minute

The fact that I traded for a total of 1 minute on Friday is great. I achieved the goal for the day. I didn't trade 100,000 shares, I didn't increase share size. no full tilt.

I'm just going to do my thing.

    7/29 Plan:
    Share Size: 300
    Goal: .35
    Net: 105.

    7/29 Actual:
    Share Size: 300
    +/-: .35
    Net: 106.
    Ttl Shares: 2,400

    8/2 Plan:
    Share Size: 350
    +/-: .35
    Net: 122.

  10. Overnight

    Overnight

Heh, you and I have opposite viewpoints. To me, opening up the charts each morning makes me think "Ug, time to make the donuts." Here's the reference in case you don't remember.

I ain't in it for the thrill. That thrill died after my first big loss in 2015.

Maybe you should start thinking the same way.
