  1. Sterling,

here the scan results ( done with MetaStock )
for some JC strategies as of today ( 01/05/01 )

All Buy signals. Please be informed, that I scan only about 500 Stocks & Indices - not nec. the S&P 500 Stocks.
I don't follow thinly traded stocks, like JC does ( i.e sometimes less than 40K shares a day ).
However, I ususally look for stocks with an average daily trading range ( 30 days ) of at least 3USD and a price somewhere between 30 and 100 USD

So I adapted these filters in some of my JC's scans.

Gilligans Island and Expansion pivots may produce large lists of stocks to watch. In order to narrow the scope, I have additional filters concerning trading volume inplace on these scans.

    As for profit taking :
JC describes no exit strategies other than the stops.
So profit taking is at his own discretionary decision.
Most of the trades he described returned a profit in the 1 -4 point range - depending on which stock he traded
Almost all of JC's trades are daytrades. He rarely carries a position overnight.

Here the results of thew scans :

  2. Barnes & Nobles as well as Borders book stores will let you order a book and then call you when it comes in, with no obligation to buy the book if when you get there and you sit down to browse through it and see you don't like it. You can just hand it back to them without ever having to purchase it if you did not like it and they'll happily send it back for you. Even if you took it home and decided you did not like the book, they give you a 30 Day return policy even on books they special order for you. And yes they can order those books, I've bought Cooper's book from them myself. They can find the book by Title, author, or publisher who in this case for those books is Gordon Publishing.

  3. Privateer

Friday wasnt a very accurate test for JCs strategies. If you find time can u run a few again? By the way did you actually use Jeffs tracking software to get those scans? Are those metastock formulas that people posted accurate? Do you have more success with tradeprospector or JCs strategy? Would using tradesprospector in conjunction with JCs strat improve success? Whew, what alot of questions

    Thanks for your help
