  1. Signed up for a while. They won't explain anything. Just "look at the lines."

They say they profit. The people who pay more profit more too... the usual. Might not be bad but its not great. would not recommend,

How have the Investor's Business Daily ratings been affected by more and more of the big trades being done in the dark pools?

I meant to ask about how their accumulation / distribution ratings are affected, if at all, now that most big trades are done off of the exchange.

  5. No that won't be affected. The dark trades are still reported to the SIP and are still in the total volume figures... which is all IBD is using to come up with a/d (which is garbage).

The Stock Whisperer is a chat room where Stephanie Kammerman (the lead trader) trades in great part by looking at the large dark pool prints.

Does anyone have experience with this service or know anything about it?

  7. Also been there... attended one of her online seminars and chatted with her after. Her strategy is when she sees a block trade to either buy or sell based on whether it opened higher or not. It's absolutely ridiculous but if youre just looking for big prints i'm sure her service will have it available.

But aren't dark pool trades usually reported to the SIP at EOD or 24hr later? What data provider reports these trades intraday? I would have hoped that HFTAlert.com was using direct feeds.

I see Stephanie Kammerman is reporting "block trades" via Charles Schwab, who often report these trades only moments later. There's another service "Datatraderpro" who report " the same dark pool/ block trades". I compared today's reporting against block trades( large single prints, which are typically inter-market sweep orders) from IQ feeds consolidated tape- There's alot of volume missing, volume that I want to know about...

  10. If I'm going to point a finger, it would be at iQ feed.

DP trades ARE reported to the tape within moments, and every good data provider will have them. HFT Alert does have them, I am certain. If there are holes, it will be due to IQ feed... try buying the same data from a better vendor (or look at your brokers data?) and comparing.
