I'm looking for a new higher-end laptop and am having trouble finding ones with the traditional non-glossy screen. I do a lot of work outdoors and don't need a mirror. :D

So far I've found the IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads and the Panasonic Toughbooks, can you guys suggest anything else?

I hate glossy screens, so I know where you're coming from.

You might have a look at Asus. They're a substantial company that's relatively new in laptops so they're easy to overlook. I have a non-glossy Asus laptop but you probably wouldn't consider it "high end". I don't know if any of their top end laptops are available in non-glossy.

Also - last time I looked HP had a business model laptop that was non-glossy. I think the model number prefix was "NC", but I could be wrong. The problem for me was that it was impossible where I lived to see a demo model, but that may not be a problem where you live.

    Good luck!
