You misunderstood the argument of my multiple posts. I was stating that performance is simply not the main consideration but the versatility of the laptop when it comes to traveling. For more intensive computing, you are better off remoting to a server.
As many people already suggests here do not reinvent the wheel but rather buy something from Dell or HP or Lenovo or Asus. So something like that for example. They have 15,6 or 17 inches model in each of their model lines, so no problem here.
