If it runs normally, a battery fault warning may do that. Detecting abnormal voltage from a battery cell.
first rule of troubleshooting i learned from over 20 years ago building clone computers, eliminate as much variable as possible 1. disconnect all usb connections, possible, very remote possibility, one of them became defective, developed a short, (on that note google usb killer), also disconnect the external monitor if one is connected 2. open up the laptop and remove all ram chips if there's built-in memory, disconnect the nvme, or whatever ssd/hd you have, put an airblower remove dust 3. if no ram built-in to the motherboard, try to locate another laptop that has the same memory type and borrow a stick of memory see if it powers up, if not, find out the exact model, gen and all that, and look for it on ebay used laptops are very cheap, you just move the ram chips (if laptop model does not have soldered memory) and the ssd/hdd/nvme and you'll be back in business, no lost data or applications a recommendation if you're replacing it completely, get a lenovo laptop, just purchased a new lenovo p14s gen5 AMD 96GB RAM to replace my existing 3-4 yo laptop lenovo p14s gen2 amd Still haven't transferred all my data, too lazy, i'm a serial procastinator, but i've installed the linux OS already, tl;dr
Oh, just one more thing, if you cannot do any of the complicated stuff like opening the laptop, do not bring it to best buy or any computer repair store, it'll sit there for 2 weeks before they even look at it Laptop is easy work, we're a gig economy now, you should be able to go on task rabbit get computer help to your place but first disconnect all the external peripherals, those do not require anything, i've seen too many "strange stuff" over the years as a technician, could be short, could be grounding problem on the device, whatever, i'm not an engineer, just a computer tech bad kvm, bad dock, bad monitor, even disconnect the power supply hopefully there's enough battery juice to at least see a screen , or an sd card, any of these could be providing a low level grounding that could mess with the logic board (per poopy suspicion) to complete the POST task rabbit i've used several times to move, and also family to move, in talking with them, they do odd work like mounting tv's installing a bunch of monitor brackets, thought about it, i could look like a trader with multiple screens, but since i'm not a trader, opted for an ultrawide 49" monitor instead
9/10X it's the logic board. Rarely the SSDs fail. It won't POST so it's dead. It will cost you more to fix than it's worth.
Can't speak for OP, but the data, applications, settings, comfort level, familiarity, all the saved passwords, all the saved documents and spreadsheets, are much more valuable than the actual laptop itself If I was the OP and my main laptop does not boot up, I'd be in a hurry on ebay to get the same laptop used, so I can move the RAM and the nvme ssd on it, asap The upgrade to the new laptop from Black Friday sale will be on my own terms Crisis management, I do not want to be under the gun situation, it's worth the $500 for me to have a relaxed transition, but that's just me I'd imagine it's true for others who have all kinds of setups with exotic scripts, and charts, and api's, saved locally Code: linux neofetch info: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U with Radeon Graphics (16) @ 4.507GHz GPU: AMD ATI Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series Memory: 38335MiB / 43964MiB 16GB RAM soldered on motherboard, perfect match for my current laptop about to be upgraded https://www.ebay.com/itm/2967163630...=2047675&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
