Hanweck told me to open an account at webull and run the front end on my GPU machine v. a CISC machine. I haven't heard anything from FT Options yet. Anyway, I already bought the machine.
Worst case I'll learn something from the Google TensorFlow videos and have a replacement for my Xeon workstation. Kid cannot wait to game on it.
Unless they have changed their technology architecture or are referring to a new or beta client-side product, FT Options delivers via Citrix; so, the client side requires nothing special, can be Wintel x86 / CISC. On the server side, their data layer is running on GPU-accelerated linux, and their app layer is implemented with C# on Win and SQL.
Thanks, Bud. Citrix?! I am going to demo webull on CISC and RISC. Finn wants to game on the thing and $8K for a Dual 4090 isn't bad. We're going to be in LV March 5-10 if you want to meet up.
ikr! feels like 1990s called and want their "remote access" software back. Hanweck, at like $90k per year, delivers their data feed via multicast or API. Depending upon complexity, I could envision a potential use case for GPU-accelerated processing on the client side, but most just run pedestrian stuff. Having said that, experimenting with (hardware-accelerated) ML and AI could be quite interesting. LV sounds like just what the doctor ordered. I may well be able to join my fellow profligates in March. natch, we'll instruct the waiter to bring a round of very dry grey goose martinis every seven and one half minutes until one of us passes the fuck out. Was just in LV as a staging point prior to 7d of whitewater rafting down the upper half of the grand canyon. Astonishing to see the rim 5,000 feet higher (and 20F cooler) than the river. Climbed up near the rim to see the ancient (1000 CE?) granaries dug into the canyon wall. etc.
