***Well, since you seem intent on classifying anything less than 100% total freedom as "Marxist", then how about : Sweden, France, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Italy. *** These are not EXCLUSIVELY anti-Capitalistic. They are what Rand called Mixed economies. (Mixing/combining Capitalism & Socialism, mixed economies are superior to Communist and Fascist countries.) Regarding slavery, the objectivist view is that socialism litterally enslaves the able/producers to provide (at gunpoint, against their will, under the order of the government) every moocher/lout/beggar/lazy bum with unearned goods and services.
Well, I never said that an alternative viewpoint to the Cato Institute's had to be EXCLUSIVELY anti-capitalistic, did I?! And, for your info, you, too, live in a mixed economy. (And believe me, it wasn't Rand that came up with the term.) (Btw, that's a VERY absolutist view of social services you have. VERY absolutist. Not to mention inaccurate.)
These people are on the extreme fringe to say the least. Outside of my local post office, I saw La Rouche people spreading the word. They were spouting some nonsense that sounded very anti capitalist, "let's hid in a bunker" type of rhetoric. In one of their booklets, I saw some distorted charts about the stock market, monetary policy, etc. Stay away from these people!
