L-3 Communications ( LLL )

Continuing to hold up way better relative to the market, especially today with the Dow Jones off 103 points with 45 minutes left in the session.

Currently trading $81.03 and just off .42 cents with a session low of 80.75

Should find a bid once the rest of the market settles down.
Usually runs up into earnings announcement.

 

Buying again today under $79.50

Purchasing Jan. 80 Calls at $3.70

 

Now powering back above $82.00 today ( Monday )
Jan. 80 Calls . . . $5.20

 

Intra-day double bottom at $80.06 today and now climbing back $1.00 off the lows as LMT and NOC reported earlier today . . .

Use $81.06 as your stop loss on longs.
Earnings out tomorrow.

Median Expectation:

$1.09 vs .89 a year ago

 

Today, LLL reports $1.11 EPS for Q3 and raises full year profit forecast to a range of $4.12 to $4.15 per share, up from its previous forecast of $4.00 to $4.05 per share.

Not just the typical Dog and Pony Show that showcases the company's technology.

The company will offer analysts and investors a very specific breakdown of financials on all 4 divisions.

Could be a nice catalyst for the stock.

 

I hope you didn't buy 50 call and just pumping the stock...

but LLL is a very strong company.

 

I have been long a core position in this stock since the IPO in '98.
Not a pumper by any means.
