Minnesota lawmakers claim 40-percent inflation in state COVID death numbers: State senator Scott Jensen, a practicing physician, calls for an audit
    https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3918594/posts
“We looked at 2,800 death certificate data points, but of those, what we found was that 2,000 of them had COVID-19 as the underlying cause of death but 800 did not,” she noted.

“That would mean that we’ve had the number inflated by 40 percent,” Franson said.

She noted examples of an auto accident death counted as a virus fatality because the decedent still had “COVID in the system.”

FL Gov. DeSantis Shows Real Leadership, Won't Get Vaccine Until Elderly Get It First
    https://trendingpolitics.com/fl-gov...won-t-get-vaccine-until-elderly-get-it-first/

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis showed real leadership on Wednesday when he told reporters that he does not plan to get the coronavirus vaccine until the elderly in the sunshine state get it first.

During brief remarks to the press, DeSantis said he is willing to take one of the newly-developed vaccines for COVID-19, but said seniors should get first priority because they are the most vulnerable.

Is US COVID-19 death count inflated?

    https://thehill.com/opinion/healthcare/514915-is-us-covid-19-death-count-inflated
On August 26, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a report showing that in 94 percent of the roughly 180,000 deaths that have been attributed to COVID-19, “on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death.”

As the CDC report notes, “For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned.”

In other words, 94 percent of Americans who have died from coronavirus from the week ending February 1, 2020 to the week ending August 22, 2020 had, on average, almost three comorbidities that played a role in their death.

The long slow decline in cases and deaths continues now as we are in our 3rd week of herd immunity. I just hope that local governments do not try to extend lock-downs and mask mandates as far into the future as the eye can see. I know that politicians don't want to admit that they were wrong but hopefully they will spare the American People any more loss of freedom.

As everyone keeps telling you ... bullshit.

"... For example, herd immunity against measles requires about 95% of a population to be vaccinated. The remaining 5% will be protected by the fact that measles will not spread among those who are vaccinated. For polio, the threshold is about 80% ..."

Checking the numbers and once again today we have seen the gradual but steady decline of new cases and new deaths. It's really starting to look good as we continue in herd immunity status.
