Further lockdowns are not needed to stem the climbing numbers of coronavirus cases because the majority of infections are coming from person-to-person gatherings, not from the schools and businesses that would be shuttered under mandatory shutdown orders, Department of Health and Human Services Director Alex Azar said Friday.

“All of our measures have to be guided by evidence in science, not just assumptions,” Azar told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo. “Data tells us that our universities, our K-12 schools have not proven to be major vectors of disease transmission.”

In addition, workplaces, businesses, and airlines have not been proven to be where the disease is overwhelmingly transmitted, he said.

Nothing in the numbers of Kung Flu suggest that there has ever been a pandemic in my view. Likely, we'd be further along in the riddance of this mild virus had gummint not intervened. The only pandemic I see is the massive power grab that is occurring as a result of this plannedemic.

Moderna Covid vaccine candidate almost 95% effective, trials show
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ine-candidate-almost-95-effective-trials-show
An interim analysis released on Monday, and based on 95 patients with confirmed Covid infections, found the candidate vaccine has an efficacy of 94.5%. The company said it planned to apply to the US regulator, the Food and Drug Administration, for emergency-use authorisation in the coming weeks. In the analysis, 90 of the patients received the placebo with the remaining five the vaccine.
The biotech company said it would have 20m doses ready to ship in the US before the end of 2020 and hoped to manufacture 500m to 1bn doses globally next year.

It appears to me that masks may serve at least one useful purpose. That would be to help train a person not to touch their face.

Ask yourself the following question---"Do I think it's plausible that masks are effective when 85 percent of folks are wearing them and there is still a spike in cases?"

First 85% of folks are not wearing masks. Nowhere close.

Second -- states that implemented a mask mandate such as Arizona saw a drop in cases by 75% or more when the mandate was instituted. Even with mask mandates the percentage of people wearing masks was not 85% but at least it was higher than nearly zero.

Third - Masks are just a component of an overall plan to address the spread of COVID - it does not work alone. People must still socially distance, follow the guideline, properly wear the masks --- as well as governments needing to properly close down gyms, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, large events and other major sources of spread when the community level of COVID are too high.

Ask yourself a follow-up question to the one above----"Do I think it's plausible that masks are effective when the number of mask wearers has greatly increased since the first few months of Kung Flu, yet cases are rising to greater numbers than back then?"

The amount of a community spread due to not doing properly lockdowns with phased re-openings using full contact tracing and adequate testing --- is much greater in the U.S. right now.

Do you think it is plausible that cases rise greatly when the number of starting points in a community are far more numerous. Especially now in many states where all the bars, clubs, restaurants, churches, gyms and other venues are open -- while they were closed in spring.

Nothing to do with the proven effectiveness of masks which only help reduce transmission --- but masks are only one of the steps needed to properly contain COVID to reasonable levels.

And of course, the answer to both of these questions, in my view, is not likely.

Folks, these are just not big numbers ----not big at all. Certainly nothing that would warrant any kind of lock-down. This continues to be a power-grab by Leftists and a trial run for how they will conduct future liberty stripping escapades.
