There's nothing definitive in any of these links to say that Covid-19 causes neurological damage. IF, and this is a big if, there are patients with neurological damage from an infection, it could just as easily be from the treatment as from the virus. There are some harsh treatments being tested and applied in Asia right now.

  6. It has to spike before it settles because all the people who are testing positive were out and about for a week with no knowledge they were carrying it.

SO if we have 1000 - 1200 cases now that number once the virus works its way through all the connections that WERE made will probably pop to 5000 or so. The next 2-3 weeks of cancelled activities and quanrantines will make sure that the next 2-3 weeks after that the new cases start moving over to the downward slope of the curve.

It is going to be "over" beginning of April at the earliest and over just means the rate of new cases is extremely small and contained.

  7. yeah, I think so too, all these closures and cancellation as painful and disruptive as they are will help to curb this fucking virus. we just need some serious help and stimulus directly to people so they can handle their life for the next few months.

Looking much better in South Korea as well. Mortality rate much better there than Italy. In addition, new cases are declining. We are getting a handle on this and getting it contained. We'll see new cases here but they will begin declining soon. --Notice the age in the chart below. Looks like you need to be older to be seriously affected. The Trump administration's response has been proper and will get us out of this quickly.

Italy as a whole now is beginning to see cases declining. Below is a chart of age and gender of those affected. Note how over 50 percent of victims are over 60 and 98.9 percent of deaths are of folks 60 and over. This thing is beginning to shut down worldwide and will also do so here very very soon. Italy healthcare is extremely substandard to US and South Korea. That, and the advanced age of The Italian population is why you see a 4.28 percent mortality rate.
