The first part of your post is just stupidity. So much so that I was surprised when the second part made perfect sense and I agreed with it entirely except that "a majority of the population is not healthy". A majority is healthy. Here are the age demographics (and sex) broken out for all US population as of 2019 (Statistica is the reference). As you can plainly see, the majority - by far - is made up of below 50 years old (as one would expect in any population) and the preponderance of these people are perfectly healthy. Thus, the risk factor for these people is almost - but not quite - nil. And that's the point here. Destroying the lives of the vast majority of individuals for some that need to isolate and protect themselves is inherently stupid. You always talk about the party of stupid. There ya go.
When I look for the number of healthy I look for these types of studies: Only 12 percent of American adults are metabolically healthy, study finds Then there's, More than 100 million Americans have diabetes or prediabetes Then there's the adult obesity rate at roughly 40%. And cancer, and so on. I don't think most of the population is healthy. And I haven't see any other country try to cherry pick their Covid deaths to make things look better.
Here’s how Sweden’s radical coronavirus strategy could save Christmas https://www.marketwatch.com/story/s...es-how-it-plans-to-save-christmas-11599173521 Sweden’s state epidemiologist says the Scandinavian country may soon be ready to ease isolation of the elderly. If Anders Tegnell is right, with a bit of holiday magic Swedes may be able to swap strict social distancing for a slightly more normal Christmas with family and friends this year.
So, you agree then that most people that are being listed as Wuhan deaths are really dying of something else. Thank you for your time.
Gavin Newsom Says California Will Stay On Lockdown Until Scientists Discover Cure For Death SACRAMENTO, CA—Governor Gavin Newsom has released new guidelines for California's counties looking to reopen their businesses, saying that counties may only begin to lift their lockdowns once a cure for death itself has been found. "Once we have beaten the last enemy, death itself, we can slowly begin to reopen over a 40-year period," Newsom said at a press conference Tuesday. "Counties that report even one death for any reason will be forced to keep closures in place indefinitely, until we have answered the eternal question of how to reverse aging and ensure no one can die ever." "We can't be too careful -- we must all cower in fear until death has been conquered." https://babylonbee.com/news/gavin-n...st-stay-on-lockdown-until-death-is-eradicated
C'mon man. The link tells it all and if anyone is believing it the hell with em. Go ahead and laugh a little. Won't hurt a thing. Just ticklin' everyone's sorry arse butt a little.
First, this study is only polling adults. There are a lot of people in this country not considered an adult (see above demographics). Second, the following description of what is considered "metabolically healthy" in the study: ... is defined as having optimal levels of five factors: blood glucose, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, blood pressure, and waist circumference, without the need for medications. ...but does not list what those metric levels should be (at least not in the link you posted or the link your link references) and does not disclose any demographic data whatsoever that I can find. So its one thing to make a statement that doesn't appear to pass the smell test (like only 12% of people are healthy) it is another to prove it with data that people accept. Lastly, it is unlikely that someone who fails to meet a "metabolically healthy" standard of this study for the simply aspect that their weight circumference is outside of acceptable standards but otherwise in excellent health is suddenly more susceptible to COVID because of it. Which is entirely the point of this conversation. Care to try again?
This would be an exponential increase from where we are now at less than 200K. Worth noting to be sure. Fauci said yesterday that even with a fool-proof vaccine, we won't be at herd immunity under ideal conditions until late 2021. That bear below... probably worth noting that too. Photo by Bill Greenblatt/UPI | Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Given current trends in new cases, scientists project that the COVID-19 death toll in the United States will be over 400,000 by the start of 2021. Researchers at the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation said they expect the national death count to reach 410,000 by January. According to data from Johns Hopkins University on Friday, almost 187,000 COVID-19 patients have died in the United States. That means another 223,000 will die in the next four months, if the projections prove true. "We expect the daily death rate in the United States, because of seasonality and declining vigilance of the public, to reach nearly 3,000 a day in December," the UW researchers said Thursday. If the United States pursues a "herd immunity" strategy, which would include no further government intervention, the researchers said the national toll could be well over 600,000 by January. UW scientists cited a decreased use of face coverings as the main factor in their heightened estimates. They indicated that about 120,000 projected deaths could be avoided if mask use in the United States matched the effort in Singapore, where face coverings are mandatory everywhere in public. The update from Johns Hopkins' Center for Systems Science and Engineering showed there were 44,000 new cases in the United States on Thursday, an increase of a few thousand over Wednesday. There were about 1,100 new deaths, continuing a rise in both figures that began on Tuesday. In Iowa, former health department spokeswoman Polly Carver-Kimm filed a wrongful termination lawsuit Thursday that says she was fired after Gov. Kim Reynolds ordered strict measures to control the flow of information about the state's COVID-19 response. Carver-Kimm, who was fired in July, names Reynolds, communications director Pat Garrett and the state in the suit. The complaint says Carver-Kimm was "stripped of her duties" and fired after she made "repeated efforts to comply with Iowa's open records law by producing documents to local and national media" regarding Iowa's response to the pandemic.
