Let's not stop there. Let us talk with the family members of those who died in car accidents, the 1500 or so people a day dying from cancer, all the people dying from senseless violence in urban cities... You're getting desperate with the "ask all the family members what they think of low levels". What's next from you? "Think of the children!?" We're in a pandemic. We're going to have people die. No one disputes that people will die. You should be happy it isn't as bad as it was forecast to be. You should be thrilled data looks like this in the US: It means while cases are going up significantly, very few are dying from the virus anymore. But no, not you, gwb. You want carnage and death and destruction because, in your impotent rage, we didn't do enough to follow what you thought we should have done in the economy. No no, that's not right, we should have listened to the EXPERTS!! You'd be happy if there were mountains of dead in burning pyres because we didn't do what these so-called "experts" said. Then you could say "see? ? We told you!! You should have listened!!" Instead of going "whew, it could have been so much worse. We're lucky to get out like we did." you want carnage and your pound of flesh.
Just for perspective... 10,500 people died from alcohol related car crashes in 2018. Think of the millions and millions of dollars spent on preventing that, let alone the whole justice industry where lawyers and municipalities generate bank off of dui's. Scary when you think about it. An asymptomatic person can kill an innocent, just like a drunk driver can. I see law suits galore... a whole new industry coming... DWM and WWM... driving without mask, walking without mask. I hope B1 gets the first ticket.
A person with a flu virus walking around, or the common cold can also kill an innocent if that innocent is immuno-compromised. How many people over the last 100 years "killed" innocents through unintentional infection? Who knows? I'm sure a good amount. Life went on, as it does in a civilized, functional society. If you have physiological handicaps, then you take precautions. That's what you do. If I have only one leg, I don't try to cross the street at a busy intersection. Have lung problems? I'm not going to try out for the Navy Seals. Have deadly peanut allergy? Not going to see me trying to eat a PB&J sandwich. Should we outlaw peanut butter because some people die from the touch of peanuts? Get the fuck outta here. I love me some peanut butter. At what point do other people's handicaps become our problem? Should my life be impacted - my job, my company, for someone who might get sick if we bring our people back to work? People get sick at the workplace. Don't want to get sick anymore? Got news for you, isn't going to happen unless you spend the rest of your scared little life inside an inflatable bubble. So get in your little bubble already so the rest of us can get back to our lives.
Lookee here!! South Dakota with no lockdown! Tremendous numbers!---and I don't see a big death count from the meatpacking plant----what happened?
South Dakota is mostly just land, less that 1m people. The biggest town has 150k, does that even warrant a Wal Mart? Shocking they weren't hard hit.
