  1. Target missed. Now SPX is 1603.

  2. The guess that "the next target is 1542" is just as good as the guess "the next target is 1687", considering that you hold (a losing position) for multiple months.

  3. SPX 1620 hit today.... Up 60 handles from the swing low. Some pretty nice opportunities for those not stuck in a bad position...

Oil undervalued by $20. In the short term. In the long term they are undervalued by $100.

  6. Wait till they have a 100kwh battery that can charge to 50% in 15 minutes and full in an hour (yes, some mighty heavy duty cables and higher voltages) in a $30,000 2500lb car, (600 mile range). Oil = $20/barrel. SPX = 2000.

  7. I wish! Source?

  8. No source... Just the trend of battery technology. Very similar to semiconductors (Moore's law). The capacity(transistors) is trending to double every two years... Only a matter of time and then the sand n's can take their oil and shove it. Throw in some bio diesel (trucks, trains, planes, boats) and the mission is complete.

  9. I'll tell you why this dream of $20 oil is so important, and it's not just because I'd love to see our wife-beating, self-exploding Islamic friends pound sand:

IMO, oil prices are one of the main reasons why America is no longer America anymore, and the economic opportunities are nothing like they used to be just a decade or two ago. You have countless trillion$ getting sucked out of our economy and getting shipped straight into the hands of unfriendly foreigners. I don't know about you, but most of the people I know are going through some pretty tough times right now, with their money tighter than it ever was before. If we ever hope to see a return of the good old days in this country, $20 oil would be a tremendous first step in the right direction.

Dave, we already have $20 oil. It's called natural gas. Well, 21.50 to be exact at current quoted prices. That's how much nat gas you need to produce the same amount of energy as oil. So why don't we switch over? You'll have to ask Barry. Something about an endangered frog...
