Assume gold truly has value in being able to sustain notional value of a currency. Think about the inequity of this for poor people that can't afford $1400 an ounce of gold to protect themselves and their already meager standard of living. Insanity in an insane world.

For the love of Christ Nitro, you over intellectualizing everything! The value of any commodity is the price that one is willing to pay for it. PERIOD!

I wouldn't trade gold with your money, let alone mine.

  5. I hope he was kidding too.
At the moment, Nitro clearly has no formula or ability to predict the future price of anything. No statistical edge, no working formula- nothing. So for him to try to sell a 'system' or 'program' to investors when such a system or edge doesn't even exist yet... that would clearly be unethical, as it would amount to forward-testing on some other sucker's dime.

Nitro would never do such a thing, would he?

    Amen.

The sad part is that he really thinks that his mathematical mumbo-jumbo is actually worth something or can be perfected. I am sure he is a good programmer, but he should just ask someone with a half decent system, and program that, instead of trying to come up with the holy grail (fully automatic system).

  9. you guys make it sound as if what Nitro has is total garbage. there is no evidence for such a claim. the system worked really well ~May-Aug, but worked like crap Sep-present. a reasonable conclusion is that it does not work in certain types of markets. but does work well in other markets.

the questions that can't be answered at this point:
    1. what's the ratio of occurrences of good/bad market conditions?
    2. do gains in good markets offset losses during bad runs?
    3. does the system blow up during bad market conditions?
    4. MAY the system be improved?

Shortie, no one is saying the system is crap. My comment was only to the fact that one should tinker in the basement laboratory, not with other people's money. Let me ask you something, do you want to write Nitro a check to back this system? If not, why not?
