Wow. So you advocate the trolling of 777 as a form of McCarthyism. Much like an inquisitor during the inquisition who would "investigate" whether or not someone was a witch or had made a pact with the devil.

Think about how stupid this claim is. That people would come to an anonymous internet message board, to discuss their views, and then hide their views. It might make more sense to claim these conspiracy theories in real life, that people were hiding their views where they would be used to attack their reputation or career. But on an anonymous internet message board, there's no reason to hide your views, in fact, that's why people come to them!

Your approval of this McCarthyism is really telling. That you believe in this PC inquisition to "expose" these "secret racist" (who are already anonymous by way of being on an internet message board). That's poor logic, and even poorer ethics.

I believe that we no longer see optional troll at his best.

I believe the moderators told him to turn it down.
It was very interesting in a clinical sort of way, watching people become unglued once zzz found a chink in their emotional armor. If you have a casual interest in the pyschology... not the tripe they teach in school but as it works in real life... zzz's method were amazing. You would never bet something so simple could have been so effective.

it reminded me of what I learned in market wizards... I never knew so many people were so fragile. When I first read that book , I was b.s. people are not really looking to punish themselves. They don't really get what they want when they blow up....

But then I saw it happen multiple times in my old office. I watched people blow up their accounts because they could not handle not be good at trading and it sort of forced them to get a real job again.

zzz tactics also showed many are just barely holding it together.

Someone needs to tell Duke his hair style has been out of style since the 70's.

  4. What is stupid is that you would compare the two, either you are young, not from here, or do not process thing well Savant, but time healeth all things:)

Joe McCarthy used his position to intimidate and potentially ruin the lives of others. We are here on ET, in the basement of ET, with a bunch of guys who are bored mainly, and 777 likes to push buttons. You compare that to McCarthyism? Really?:D

  5. +1, and as I have said in public, I admire all people that are natural. I used to love to watch Minnesota Fats play pool. I love to watch 777 rattle cages. He has an innate ability to expose imbalances in the human mind.:D

That's a pretty deranged fetish, enjoying observing a parasitic person who feeds on negativity. I honestly think that rather he's the caricature of an imbalanced mind, on the contrary.

  7. Well Savant, that is your opinion, and you know what they say about those:D

It would seem he has caused you to lose your balance as well.:)

Deranged...parasitic....negativity....all strong words, and all very, very subjective.

Where did I "loose my balance"? What does that mean exactly?

I don't think they are particularly strong words. I just think someone who either gets their jollies by feeding off of negativity or someone who enjoys being a spectator of such is the one who's balance is lost.

I know you wouldn't be making personal attacks against people who make points you don't like, would you? LOL!

  9. A quick dictionary search will cure you of confusing loose, with lose.

I have always simply pointed out deficits in understanding, like the one you showed in your last post:)

Grammar and spelling critiques are the refuge of the defeated in debate. Congratulations on gracefully acknowledging your defeat.
