KOSPI 200 Futures - Traders

Discussion in 'Index Futures' started by RedDuke, Feb 25, 2009.

  1. Nice post and annotation. On the VE (with M1 and M2) it is a good idea to accelerate the RTL as well. The objective of the acceleration is to "see" the FTT in the accelerated container. It also give you insight to the volatility of the M1 and M2 when you are in the zone.

This is a terrific market to trade as has been pointed out by many practicioners.

I am looking forward to when a set of ATS's follow the markets around the globe daily and keep the pool extraction rolling 24/7. It will afford a more and more borderless problem solving effort unimpeded by beuracracy and politics.

  3. OK so I have accelerated the RTL. This is what you are speaking of correct?
Yes it does highlight the FTT of the new container with this new TL added.

The addition of the K200 is excellent . It provides an opportunity to trade ( not only in the day with US markets) also during the evenings ( at least for myself in the NYC area ).

  4. Here is a detailed attachment. It shows you acceleration annotation is correct and we had to go back to the original point 1 for other reasons.

the last bar you show is the Ftt of the long up to this point in the unfolding of the long.

I know this brings up the discussion of whether, on the same level an acceleration or a fanning holds precedence. The discussion is fine to do but there is no anomaly that comes into the picture. Logic prevails and the result is the fanning after the acceleration.

as is the usual, as the person trades with his mind differentiated, any temporary diversions result in a small profit and returning to the main prior trade not yet completed (the main trade is broken into three segments).

    Hi,

We don't currently carry the KOSPI futures unfortunately. It's a pretty expensive license so that's why you see so few vendors carry it at this point. We do have the Korean Stock Exchange and the KOSPI 200 Index ($200-KOR). You could either add the Korean Stock exchange ($30/mo) or add the delayed Asia/Pacific bundle ($10/mo) to get that symbol.

    Thanks.

  6. Thanks Jack.

Greens represent the cancellation of the formation of a pattern.

This would be the new forming pattern correct ? Then bars involved in the canceled forming pattern become part of the prior pattern.

I also noticed for the first time there is a volume difference at each green.
Is this necessary for green or just happened in this example and has no importance?

  10. Mind if I ask what data feed and charting software you are using?

And are you trading it with IB?

    Thanks.
