You just need to open an account with IB. Then you can use data as long as you need, and do not need to trade. I do not remember exactly, IB will only charsge some small fee like $10-$20 per month if you do not trade.
Would anyone know where I could download tick data for the Kospi 200? I have NT and IB, but trying to "Reload Historical Data" doesn't give me access to second or tick data when I'm connected to IB.
Red Duke............any other FCM's that you know of who offer Kospi 200 for US residents? http://www.futuresmag.com/News/2009/11/Pages/CME-one-step-closer-to-offering-Kospi-200.aspx
Not that I know. I have only 1 issue with IB, their intra day margin. It is about 14.5K USD, and they do not offer 1/2 margin for this contract. I day trade, and do not like to keep that much margin per contract at the broker. But regardless, I am grateful that IB offers it, otherwise this great contract would be untradable. If you find someone else, please post here. Regards, redduke
I just checked IB margin for KOPSI on their site, and intra day margin is now 1/2 of overnight. It currently stands at around $7K. I find this exiting, since it now frees up 1/2 of my capital.
posted margin in another thread. post it here also. ------------------------- calculator for conversion http://coinmill.com/KRW_calculator.html#KRW=8359375
K200 5 minute chart from March 25- 26. This really moves nicely. Charted style of JH with k200 and it looks great. I made a time error and have adjusted since. It opens at 8pm est and closes 2am est. Thanks RedDuke for the post in the other thread. I am new to K200. Looking around for info on it and this is a nice thread for it. This link has been posted http://eng.krx.co.kr/index.html Looking for financial news for KSE.
