I am using the activeX api, it flys. Think about if September closed at 181.55 thats a massive discount to fair value! Spot was at 181.43

  5. Do you use any application to get data *thru* activeX?

Are there programs that connect to activeX?

    Obviously, I'm not a programmer.

  6. dont,

I've got IB's twsactiveX.xls open and am stumped on the cell value for "HOST". Their website leaves out the settings example.

    localhost? leave it blank?

    Thanks!

I use excel or VB, leave the host blank, it refers to the machine name. So if you are running excel and the TWS on the same machine, host is blank.

If TWS and excel are running on different machines on a network, its the machine name on a network.

One word of warning the data updates so fast, that excel can hit a permanent state of "calculating" so they slow the data refresh down.

Yep had major trouble getting thru to HK server for the first 1 2 hours of trading?

It did not seem to be a TWS issue but a broader Internet one. Changed ISP and it resolved itself.
