I'd go with any of the non-Hillary choices, even if they were serving broken glass. P.S. judging by the size of those waiting to see her, they must have shut down the samples during the signing.
Absolutely, and I've said so in here (if not too enthusiastically). But the hypocrisy of scrapping the Iran and Cuban deals while cheering for Korea is just astounding.
The Iran deal was a poorly negotiated and given the history needs to be re-visited. The Cuban deal probably should have been left alone with efforts to improve. NK is very different as they already have nukes due to mistakes made by every previous administration going back decades. The best I can say about all previous administrations is that they were largely dealing with people who couldn't have cared less about becoming "westernized", or acting in even a remotely civilized way. Today I think there is a deal to be made. Kim might be, just might be convinced he can live like a king without having to imprison and kill tens of thousands annually. It's worth a shot, and if it doesn't work we're no further from or closer to war than we were a year ago. We still may need to make the entire country disappear, but we should at least lay out an alternative before taking that step.
Indeed. There is no downside. I am a hawk on the Korean thing but meeting and giving it a shot works either way. If you want to go the "give peace a chance route" it works for that. If you are skeptical but want to be sure that you did all you could before going to Plan B - well then, it works for that too.
you couldn't make this shit up: This is the English version of the video "trailer" that President Donald J. Trump showed Chairman Kim Jong Un during their historic summit on 6/12/18. This is a HQ rip from the official White House Facebook page, where they posted the video.
The problem with the Iran deal is Benjamin Netanyahu wants the US to fight a proxy war with Iran for Israel. Don’t get it confused. It’s that simple.
All the nuance of a rusty sledgehammer. As laughable as it is, I just hope it works. In that vein, I think I'll go buy a lottery ticket. P.S. Although it was supposedly intended for an audience of one (Kim), there's no lack of Trump all over the place.
