Either you are reading challenged or comprehension challenged. from you post Kissinger did not say a military victory was impossible but only if there was no will for one.

    Speaking of denial!

  4. Since there is no will/desire for one (check election returns...Doh!) a military victory is impossible. Heck, it wasn't possible when Bush had support. Doh! It sure isn't possible now. You neoclowns think that a political solution is always gained at the end of a gun. Such nonsense...

Sheesh, anyway we already won our war, which was to remove Saddam, and we saw Bush celebrating the Mission Accomplished...

Now it is not our war anymore. It is not our country. It is not our oil. Those are not our people who are not able to rise up and defend themselves...

How many more are going to die needlessly...with neoclowns like you still around, waaaay to many.

It is the Iraq people with the purple thumbs war, and if they aren't willing to fight and die for it, it is retarded for US soldiers and tax payer money to fight it for them...

  5. But Kissinger, an architect of the Vietnam war who has advised President Bush about Iraq, warned against a rapid withdrawal of coalition troops, saying it could destabilize Iraq's neighbors and cause a long-lasting conflict.

"A dramatic collapse of Iraq — whatever we think about how the situation was created — would have disastrous consequences for which we would pay for many years and which would bring us back, one way or another, into the region," he said.

Kissinger, whose views have been sought by the Iraqi Study Group, led by former Secretary of State James Baker III, called for an international conference bringing together the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, Iraq's neighbors — including Iran — and regional powers like India and Pakistan to work out a way forward for the region.

"I think we have to redefine the course, but I don't think that the alternative is between military victory, as defined previously, or total withdrawal," he said.

Interesting how selective quoting is used to distort the whole message. We have paid a price to be where we are but if we withdraw and then have to re-enter the area the price will be much higher than staying the course.

But to the people who continually cry for help for the needy and yet do nothing on their own to help them what do you expect?

  6. So many of those who say it would be a disaster to leave now, are the same ones who said "stay the course" because the course was working.

It took so long for these neoclowns to come out of their denial, now we are to look to them for guidance?

    Ridiculous...

This is just plain silly that we are sending these old white dudes to evaluate the situation in Iraq, we should be asking experts in Iraq and the middle east what to do...

We aren't listening to the right people, we haven't been since the beginning.

Well, in trading you wait until the bull throws in the towel and the bear starts getting cocky about how much money he has made, then you start buying.

In pretty much every other field, you listen to the bear who was right all along.

  10. Basically the Iraq war is just an absolute disgrace and disaster.

I find it funny how if you don't support the idea of sending Americans in to support a majority Shia led Government in Iraq you are 'Anti-American'...Bizarre!!!!!
